Can’t get help online, by phone, or by mail? Make an appointment!

Our offices will begin to reopen Monday, June 22, in a series of stages. We’ll start with 14 locations. All in-person services are by appointment only.

Yesterday the Governor announced furloughs for all state workers. As a result, our days of operation will be temporarily reduced starting the week of June 29. All offices scheduled to reopen will be open Monday – Thursday in July, except for Thursday, July 2. Our offices are also closed July 3 in observance of Independence Day. We’ll be open Friday, July 31.

Our offices will be operating at a reduced capacity with social distancing in place. Please be patient. Appointments are limited. Our online, phone, and mail-in services remain the first option in most instances. Continue reading “Can’t get help online, by phone, or by mail? Make an appointment!”

All driver licensing offices will temporarily close to the public beginning Tuesday, March 31, 2020

The Department of Licensing (DOL) is temporarily closing all driver licensing lobbies beginning March 31, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. All appointments are being canceled at this time and no appointments will be made going forward.

“The safety and health of both employees and customers is paramount. Sanitation products continue to be difficult to purchase and ensuring appropriate social distancing during in person transactions is difficult” said Teresa Berntsen, Director of the Department of Licensing.  “We appreciate patience and understanding as the Department of Licensing does its part to stop the spread of COVID-19.”
